Watch Miss World 2011 live streaming online for free. The 61st edition of the Miss World pageant is set to take place at the Earls Court Two on Sunday, November 6, 2011, in London. Alexandria Mills of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.
This year's edition of Miss World is composed of 113 entrants. Among them are two Filipina beauty contestants: Gwendoline Ruais and Riza Santos, representing the Philippines and Canada, respectively.
Miss Philippines Gwendolyn Ruais is doing well in the beauty contest. She made herself to the Top 20 of Top Model Fast Track Event in Miss World, Top 20 of Beach Beauty, and the Top 30 of Beauty with a Purpose. The other fast-track competitions are for Sports and Talent.
The Miss World pageant is the oldest surviving major international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's wife, Julia Morley, co-chairs the pageant.
The winner of this beauty pageant spends a year travelling to represent the Miss World Organization and its various causes. Traditionally, Miss World lives in London during her reign.
